THE SEYCHELLES ISLANDS His ground surface is 410
km2 and there is approximately 80,000 inhabitants. The capital Victoria is
located on the main island Mahe. The spoken languages are
English, Creole and French but English is the business language. The currency is the
Seychelles rupee. The islands are in coral or
in granite, the climate is warm with wet seasons. Occupied by the French in
1756, the Seychelles have passed under British control in 1814. Since 1976, they form an
independent state, member of the Commonwealth.

about sixty small islands insulated in the Indian Ocean at the level of
the equator.
In April 2004, the President
Albert RENE has resigned and has been replaced by James Alix MICHEL .
This new president want to modernize the Seychelles without forgetting the
conservation of the Seychelles patrimony in the fauna and the flora.
MAHE , is the first granite island. Victoria , the capital with a
population of some 22000hab is a large bay . The aeroport International ,
the trade zone, and the port are in Victoria .This small capital is the
iisland's economic ans administrive hub
PRASLIN , is the second largest granite island. The population is
about 6 000Hab .It is 15mn in plane and one hour in boat from Mahé .
The coco nuts « coco-fesses » grow in the « Vallée de Mai » .You can
see in the forest of Praslin "a World Heritage Site"many
endemiques plants .They
are renowned beaches as Handle Lazio, its hotels
5*Luxe, his golf make the most tourist ile of Seychelles.
LA DIGUE is the fourth largest island . The population is about
2000 Hab. It is 30mn in boat from Praslin. The traditionnal way of transport
are the ox-cart. and bicycles .Some cars
circulate for the good of hotels. The site in the dock (high granites diving
into the ocean) was photographed numerous times and appear in general in
advertising seychellois landscapes
